Test Results

Specimens that are submitted to the Lab of Path, PA will have reports delivered to the referring hospital, physician, or other testing facility. Lab of Path endeavors to provide the most rapid turn-around-time possible without compromising quality. In general, tissue biopsy pathology reports will be generated within 24 – 48 hours upon receipt of the specimen. Cytology and ancillary test reports will be available within 2-5 working days upon receipt. These results are sent via a secure HIPAA compliant internet connection, hand delivery, or fax. Transportation to and from the laboratory will slightly increase the report return time to your office. If there is a delay in report delivery, the clinics / hospitals will be contacted to inform them of the delay of reporting.
