Molecular Pathology

Coupled with the growth in liquid based cytology testing has been the advent of ‘molecular’ testing. The Lab of Path, PA now offers the most current PCR based test applications such as Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, Human Papillomavirus (HPV), Herpes, and Group B streptococcus. The lab has embraced the most current generations of these tests which serve as an adjunct with other testing performed at the laboratory. This adjunct testing gives the clinician better diagnostic tools when helping triage the patient in determining the best course of treatment.
